I haven't been blown away by a band like this since I first heard the Magnetic Fields years ago. A couple of days a go, my dear friend Rick sent me this album and I just can not stop listening. It is bright and jubilant and poetic-- and it, of course, (as needed to gain my unconditional love) has that intoxicating eastern european, circusy whimsy that sweeps you away to a gypsy caravan. Maybe that is a bit much, but goodness is this some beautiful music! The lyrics in we're leaving are just too much, too real right now. A GOLD MINE. I'm seriously jizzing in my pants over this shit. Truly, a new favorite.
